In terms of the most sought commodity in the world, coffee is a runner-up only to crude oil. In Americans alone, more than 900 million cups of coffee are consumed per day which is the equivalent of 330 billion cups of coffee per year. In fact, 55% of American coffee drinkers would rather gain 10 pounds than give up coffee for life! Because this relationship with caffeine is so intense, so is the competition. That said, coffee brands and chains have a huge opportunity to leverage their social media channels to stay top of mind among consumers looking for their morning, afternoon or even evening cup of coffee. It is now an inevitable trend that firms have to follow lest lag behind. Comprehending that, as part of a project for the course Social Media Marketing at the university of Ca’ Foscari in Venice, we came up with the idea of creating a consultancy with the aiming to help firms, especially small and medium-sized ones, understand more about the use of social media marketing. In this connection we want to focus on the market situation of our customers and their competitors by providing social media solutions, in-depth analysis, advice, and more.
